CALIFORNIAN CLIMATE PACT SHOWS AMERICA IS SWITCHING - HUHNE

Responding to the announcement of a British-Californian pact on climate change, Liberal Democrat Shadow Environment Secretary, Chris Huhne MP said:

"California has long been a leader in tackling climate change in the United States.

"The fact that 10 States and 275 city mayors have now signed up to the Kyoto Protocol shows that the American political scene is shifting in favour of positive action."
