New force and exit checks key to control of borders

Commenting on ACPO's proposals for a new border police force, revealed today by the Government, Liberal Democrat Shadow Home Secretary, Chris Huhne said:

"It is good news that ministers will consider the creation of a national border force.

"Along with the reintroduction of exit checks, this is a key part of re-establishing control of our borders."
