Repulsive anti-Semitic hate crimes must be stopped

Commenting on the 9% year-on-year rise in anti-Semitic hate crimes reported today by campaign group CST, Liberal Democrat Shadow Home Secretary, Chris Huhne said:

"The increase in anti-Semitic crimes is extremely worrying.

"The police must work with community groups to stamp out hate crimes of all types.

"The latest figures show a disturbing rise in abusive behaviour towards Jews, including hate mail and anti-Semitic graffiti. Meanwhile, anti-Semitic behaviour towards students has almost doubled.

"These repulsive hate crimes must be stopped."
